Fausto Petruzziello, MD

Dr. Petruzziello was born, raised, and educated in Rome, Italy, where he completed his residency in General Surgery and served as a Medical Officer within the Mounted State Police as a First Lieutenant—an appointment that entrusted him with the care of the President of Italy.

After graduating summa cum laude from La Sapienza University in Rome, Dr. Petruzziello moved to the United States in 1995 to begin his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Massachusetts.

In 1998, Dr. Petruzziello relocated to Connecticut and co-founded Family Practice and Internal Medicine of Spring Glen. In 2007, he established a new medical practice—Family Practice and Internal Medicine (CareMEDICA). During this time, he also founded two additional medical enterprises: Lasermedica Dermacenters USA (LaserMEDICA) and Medical Weight Professionals (WeightMEDICA).

Dr. Petruzziello has authored more than 30 research articles in Gastrointestinal Surgery, Antibiotic Therapy, and Geriatric Medicine, published in both Italian and international medical journals. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Connecticut State Medical Society, and the New Haven County Medical Society.

Today, Dr. Petruzziello lives in North Haven with his wife and three children, and remains deeply committed to the health and well-being of each of his patients.
