Dr. Angelo is a summa cum laude graduate of Fairfield University. He earned his medical degree from Robert Wood Johnson-University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
Prior to joining CareMedica Elite, Dr. Angelo was a practicing physician in Branford and Clinton as well as a teaching faculty member and the Director of Hospitalist Services at the St. Raphael Campus of Yale-New Haven Hospital. More recently, he served as the Vice President of Medical Affairs as well as the Chief Administrator of the acute and psychiatric inpatient units at Masonicare in Wallingford.
Dr. Angelo is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor and Clinical Instructor at the Quinnipiac University and UConn medical schools, respectively. In 2008, ACP-Hospitalist placed him on their Honor Roll of Top Hospitalists nationally. He has been an honorary Fellow in the American College of Physicians since 2014. He has authored or co-authored several healthcare-related publications and lectured extensively at both the local and national level.
When he is not busy improving patients’ lives or taking medical organizations to the next level, Dr. Angelo enjoys spending time with his family, writing, cinema and bicycling.
